Un utente di Youtube ha scoperto che gli amiibo possono essere utilizzati anche per Pokémon Rumble U! Infatti durante le battaglie, se si usano gli amiibo, appariranno Pokémon speciali che vi aiuteranno! Questo varierà a seconda della statuina utilizzata:
- Pikachu – Mesprit
- Link – Swinub
- Personal Trainer di Wii Fit – Boldore
- Marth – Weedle
- Abitante di Animal Crossing – Victini
